The Stacey Toran Foundation (STF), through its Stacey Toran Youth Development Institute (STYDI), provides a caring and nurturing environment for at-risk students to help them achieve their full potential, pursue higher education, and aspire to higher achievements resulting in self reliance and self actualization.
STF provides need and merit-based college scholarships for IPS students, and offers school-based mentoring programs and leadership camps at Broad Ripple High School.
Our programs support leadership, education, and character-building to prepare young men and women for higher education, and to instill in them a sense of responsibility and service. We believe these attributes are the foundation for developing future leaders.
Our goals:
-
To provide scholarships for financially challenged Indianapolis Public School students to pursue a degree in higher education.
-
To sponsor instructional/leadership camps for aspiring young athletes.
-
To create tutorial sessions for youth that stress the importance of academics as well as athletics.
-
To provide mentoring and character building for at risk youth.
In essence, STF - which could also stand for "Securing the Future" for our children - is striving to provide opportunities for deserving youth to realize their dreams. |
